First, you should prepare the sawsawan you’ll use. A common type of sawsawan is a mix of calamansi, soy sauce, chili peppers (crushed optional), and sinamak (a combination of vinegar and other ingredients) in a small dish.

Next, before going for the main course, you may want to eat an appetizer first. A popular appetizer you may want to order is a serving of talaba (oysters). Once you finish your appetizer, it’s time to season your rice with chicken oil and salt.

To get to Aida’s in Bacolod, go to Manokan Country first. Once there, look for stall no. 8 with the buff-looking chicken statue. Besides its Bacolod branch, they also have one in Makati City.

Besides their branch in Manokan Country, they also have other restaurants within Bacolod, such as the one in Food Central. Aside from their signature chicken inasal, Nena’s Beth also serves isaw, atay, friend lumpia, chicken sisig, and many more.

Going outside Manokan Country, let’s take a look at Chicken House. With its main branch located on 24th Lacson St., this restaurant’s history is related to Chicken Inasal’s rise to popularity.

It started as a small eatery in 1976, with its primary branch opening in Lacson St. in 1982. Its longevity and expansion are a testament to the popularity of Chicken Inasal.

Besides chicken inasal, Chicken House also serves a variety of pork and seafood dishes such as pork spare ribs and grilled squid. So if you’re looking for a different meal besides Chicken Inasal, this restaurant has you covered too.
