With the new normal, a stable internet connection is not a luxury anymore. It’s a necessity. You need it for your online classes, online jobs, and even virtual social gatherings.

But with the Philippines, you are left to question, “how fast should your internet be?”

That’s why the government contracted a third major player in the telecommunications industry, Dito Telecommunity. It has a commitment of 51 MBPS and coverage of around 51% of the population by year two.

Exciting? Yes! And it’s now available in Metro Manila!

What Are the Promos Available

What Are the Promos Available?

Similar to the first rollout in Visayas and Mindanao, DITO offers 25 GB of data, unlimited text to all networks, unlimited Dito-to-Dito calls, and 300 minutes of calls to other networks. It will stay until June 30, valid for 30 days when subscribed.

It promises fast and reliable internet connections throughout the Metro. And you can get through their Shopee or Lazada store.

Be wary, though, that not all phones are compatible with the sim card. It’s because DITO uses 4G (and will roll out 5G) towers. And it doesn’t connect with phones that use 2G and 3G signals.

Why Use Mobile Data When You Have Broadband

Why Use Mobile Data When You Have Broadband?

Some people ask, why use mobile data when you have a broadband or Fiber connection? Well, the question is, is it stable? And what will you do if it’s unusable for a certain period? And I know you can attest to that.

If Dito proves to be reliable, it doesn’t matter if it’s mobile as long as there’s fast internet. As the Chief Administrative Officer of Dito, Atty. Adel Tamano, remarked, “Because of the current situation, Dito’s product is more relevant because it’s fast.”

Conclusion

Conclusion

Will you try out Dito’s latest offering? Or will you stick with the current ISPs?

Will it be stable and reliable in the long run? Only time would tell. Cheers to new options for our remote working careers.
