I know what you’re thinking: “Isn’t this supposed to be a list to impress your interviewer? Why should I tell them of my failed projects?” Before you start thinking that I’m messing with you, hear me out first.
Failure is part of work experience. It allows you to see your shortcomings and how you can solve them. So instead of emphasizing the projects’ failure, why not focus more on the effort you’ve put on it and the lessons you’ve learned? Telling these stories is a great way to show your drive to succeed and work growth, something employers seek out in candidates.

Again, just like in my previous points, it’s not enough for you to share a vague and general plan. It must be concrete and includes how you aim to accomplish your goals while helping the company you’re working for.
How do you do this? First, set a clear and achievable goal that you can achieve in, let’s say, five to ten years from now. For example, my long-term goal is to earn my master’s degree in History. Afterwards, set smaller objectives that will help you progress towards your goal.
